Meet Lou

Our Registered Manager

I have over 30 years of dedicated service in health and social care, I bring a wealth of experience and compassion to everything I do. I began working in care at the age of 17 and qualified as a registered nurse in 2008. Since then, I have held a range of clinical and leadership roles across both the NHS and private sectors, including Charge Nurse positions on a Colorectal, and Urology wards, ENT ward, as well as community-based roles with District Nursing and Continuing Health Care assessments.
My leadership journey includes serving as a Registered Manager for Long-Term Conditions and End-of-Life Care, and more recently, as a Dual Registered Manager overseeing complex care services for both adults and children. Each role has deepened my commitment to personalized care—putting the individual first, not just the condition they live with
Alongside my professional life, my partner and I adopted our two wonderful children over a decade ago, which has further strengthened my belief in the power of person-centered care. I am passionate about supporting people to live the life they choose, on their terms, integrating their care in ways that make sense to them—not the other way around.

Our Mission.

“At Candy Healthcare, we envision a world where care is as sweet and comforting as a piece of candy. We are dedicated to provide bespoke, person-centred support that empowers individuals to live as independently and normally as possible, even before the onset of their condition. Our approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and a deep understanding of each person’s unique needs and aspirations.
We believe that care should not merely address medical needs but should also nurture the spirit, foster independence, and celebrate the individuality of every person we support. By tailoring our services to each individual, we aim to create an environment where clients feel valued, heard, and in control of their care journey.
Just as candy adds a touch of sweetness to life, we strive to add moments of joy, comfort, and dignity to the lives of those we support, ensuring they can lead fulfilling lives in the comfort of their own homes.”
